MATH INTERVENTIONIST - SWAMPSCOTT HIGH SCHOOL - SY 24/25

Swampscott High School Math Interventionist - Individual Contract-SY 24/25
Swampscott High School is seeking a Math educator to join our staff. We are seeking an energetic, flexible, enthusiastic teacher to help improve the math skills of students struggling with math content.
Responsibilities include:
  • Meet with small groups of students (usually 2 to 4) to provide skill development activities and instruction to close learning gaps. Record attendance and formative assessment data to track students' progress.
  • Communicate regularly with each student's math instructor, math Content Leader, and Administration to understand the progression in the current math curriculum, and design just-in-time remediation for each unit to teach missing prerequisite skills.
  • Communicate regularly with families to build relationships and support students' progress.

Qualifications:
  • DESE Math 5-12 certification preferred
  • Ability to understand and teach math through pre-calculus
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail
  • Strong technology skills
  • Ability to share responsibility and work as a member of a team.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
